Nickel-based alloy N70MFV-VI (EP814A-VI) is melted in vacuum induction furnaces and is used in the manufacture of chemical welded equipment, operating in aggressive environments (hydrochloric, phosphoric, sulfuric acid solutions, acetic and hydrogen halide acids, etc.) at a temperature of -70 + 500 °C, pressure up to 5 N/mm².) at -70 + 500 °C, and up to 5 N/mm² pressure. This alloy is used for the synthesis of acetic acid from methanol and carbon oxide, ion exchange resins, polypropylene, chemical-pharmaceuticals and other organic synthesis products.

Density 9.2 g/cm3. At 20 °C the alloy has a thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.113 - 10² W/(m - K). specific electrical resistance is 1.55 Ohmxmm2/m, specific heat capacity is 378 J/(kg - K). This steel, due to the successful chemical composition has a high weldability, which allows to produce a variety of structures without the use of technological special equipment, and without additional heat treatment at the end of welding. In case of high structural requirements this steel can be hardened by heating to 1000-1100ºC and then cooling in water. This treatment normalises the internal stresses in the alloy and increases the strength characteristics of the parts.
Use
Long term operation in oil refining, gas processing, chemical and petroleum industries up to a temperature of 850ºC. Circle, wire, tube is used in the production of pipelines and pipe fittings, heat exchanger circuits, chemical tanks and more.
