Description
Alloy АЛ18 used: for the manufacture of bearings of electric motors with power up to 100 kW and speeds up to 1500 per minute; non-critical bearings, transmissions and gearboxes instead of bronze БрОЦС6−6-3; responsible of the simple parts (pulleys, brackets, face plates, sliders, racks, pattern equipment); castings of parts of metallurgical and energy engineering (as anti-friction material).
Note
Aluminum foundry alloy system Al-Cu.
Advantages: Satisfactory castability and machinability.
Disadvantages: Reduced corrosion resistance.
