Al is the base.
According to GOST 1583-93, the iron content is specified for casting in sand molds and for investment models. The iron content for casting in the mold is ≤ 0.40%, with die casting ≤ 0.50%. The amount of allowable impurities should be for casting in sand molds and for investment models ≤ 0.60%, casting in chill molds ≤ 0.70%, injection molding ≤ 0.80%.
According to OST 1 90180-75, the amount of impurities to be accounted for should be for casting in sand molds, for melted models, casting into chill molds, casting into shell molds should be ≤ 0.60%.
