Description

10Х32Н8 steel is used: for the manufacture of long products (hot rolled, forged and polished rods), forgings, stampings, pieces of rolled used in the manufacture of pipe fittings that are installed at hazardous production facilities; parts operating in aggressive environments at elevated temperatures.

According to TU 14-1-3151-81, the chemical composition is given for steel grades 10Х32Н8-ВД (ЭП263-ВД), 10Х32Н8-Ш (ЭП263-Ш).
According to TU 14-1-88-71 the chemical composition is given for steel grades 10Х32Н8 (ЭП263), 10Х32Н8-ВД (ЭП263-ВД), 10Х32Н8-Ш (ЭП263-Ш). Technological addition of vanadium, cerium, titanium, calcium and nitrogen in an amount not exceeding 0.10% of each and boron in an amount not exceeding 0.010% is allowed, which are not determined by chemical analysis. Subject to compliance with all requirements of technical specifications, deviations in chemical composition are allowed: for chromium +1.0%, for sulfur +0.0050%.

Weldability Welded assemblies of steel 10Х32Н8 subject to heat treatment regime: Quenching in water from 1080-1120 °C (aged for at least 2.5 minutes/mm of maximum cross section but not less than 1.0 hours) + Vacation at 270-300 °C (delay of 2-4 h), air cooling. Welded assemblies of steel 10Х32Н8-W are subject to be dispensed at 450-500 °C (delay of 2-4 h), air cooling hardness HRC = 26,0-32,0. Welded assemblies of steel 10Х32Н8-VD are subject to be dispensed at 450-500 °C (extract 8-15 h), air cooling hardness HRC = 32,0-37,5.
Macrostructure and contamination Macrostructure of steel bars on the other 14-1-88-71 should not have shrinkage and looseness, bubbles, cracks, inclusions, crusts, delamination and placenow visible without using the magnifying devices. Macrostructure for Central porosity, point heterogeneity and phase separation in the square for bars with diameter up to 90 mm inclusive shall not exceed 1.0 points for each parameter according to the scales GOST 10243, and for bars with diameter over 90 mm should not exceed 1.5 points for each parameter.
Features of production Bars on the other 14-1-88-71 come after a special heat treatment regime: Heating to 1000-1100 °C, quenching in water (bars up to 30 mm inclusive) or quenching in water until it gets dark - then in the air (for bars over 30 mm to 100 mm inclusive) or quenching in the air randomly (for bars with diameter over 100 mm). Hardness of bars in the state of delivery should be not more than 277 HB.
Features of heat treatment To prevent the formation of quenching cracks in steel grades Х32Н8, Х32Н8-VD, Х32Н8-sh should: a) fit of blanks during the heating for hardening to produce in a furnace, heated to a temperature not exceeding 150 °C; b) switch the oven on 200 °C and withstand at least 1 hour (depending on size of cages and thermal equipment); C) switch the oven at the temperature of 300-360 °C, can withstand at least three hours; g) switch the oven on the temperature of 1080-1120 °C, least three hours after reaching temperature; d) cooling under running water at a temperature not above 35 °C.
