Description
12X17 steel is used: for manufacturing of household articles and kitchen utensils, the equipment of factories of food and light industry; fasteners, rollers, bushings and other parts of machines and vessels working in dilute solutions of nitric, acetic, citric acids, solutions of salts having oxidative properties; for the production of heat exchangers and pipes.
Note
Steel ferritic corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant to +850 °C.
Temperature intense scaling in air +900 °C.
Usually applied, in the annealed condition.
Steel for the manufacture of welded structures is not recommended!

Features of heat treatment |
To obtain characteristic values of mechanical properties and hardness set ST CKBA 010 and to achieve maximum corrosion resistance, parts (workpiece) valves shall be subjected to annealing. To reduce the residual magnetic induction in the magnetic circuit of the electromagnets of the details (blank) should be subjected to prolonged annealing. Prolonged annealing of workpieces is applied to reduce the residual magnetic induction in the magnetic circuit of the electromagnets and provides magnetic properties to steel grade 12X17 coercive force HC equal to 0,23 ka/m in residual magnetic induction, RF 0.3 Mm TL; the largest saturation induction Bs is 1.6 T at 20 Nm ka/I. Welded components and products of steel 12X17 for improving the corrosion resistance is subjected to annealing regime: heating up to 775-800 °C, exposure - 2-3 h, air cooling in the absence of the requirements of the resistance to the ICC; heating to 780-820 °C, exposure - 8 hours air cooling when the demand resistance to the ICC. |
