Description
08KH18T1 steel is used: for the manufacture of structures, not exposed to shock loads and working mainly in oxidizing environments (solutions of nitric acid — used in welded structures is restricted to small sections Delta (to 3.0 mm); chemical apparatus; electric-welded pipes with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm.
Note
Steel heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant ferritic class.
Temperature intense scaling in air +900 °C.
Steel is not recommended for use for welded constructions working in conditions of impact loads. The maximum temperature stugby welded structures not lower than -20 °C.
Steel 08KH18T1 used as a substitute for steels 12KH18N9T and 12KH18N10T grades.

Weldability |
Limited weldability. Satisfactory mechanical properties can be obtained in welding articles having a thickness up to 2-3 mm. For automatic arc welding under flux an-26 and ANF-14 used wire SV-08Х20Н9Г7Т SV-05Х25Н12ТЮ. Steel was successfully welded argon-arc welding without filler material and with filler material of a wire from steel 10KH18N10T. For small sections, use of contact welding. |
Forging temperature |
Start - 950-1050 °C, the end - 720-800 °C. Cooling is performed in air. |
