Description
A11 steel specification and purchasing notes
The existing technical record describes A11 as a high-machinability sulfur carbon steel used for fasteners, clutch components, chains and other machined parts. The requested specification must be checked before quotation; an A11 designation should not be assumed to be equivalent to AISI A11 tool steel without the applicable standard.
A11 steel is used: for the manufacture of bolts, nuts, obrabatyval cutting; forks the clutch in automotive industry; chains.
