Description

40KH24N12SL steel is used: for the manufacture of castings of parts operating at high temperature and pressure (compressors and blades of the nozzle apparatus, furnace conveyors, screws, fasteners, etc.); hinged cast chains for rotary kilns, consisting of high-temperature or heat-resistant parts applied in the middle area when the temperature of the gas stream +500−1000 °C.

Note

Steel austenitic-ferritic, corrosion resistant, heat-resistant and heat-resistant (up to +1000 °C).

According to GOST 2176-77 the chemical composition is given for steel grade 40Х24Н12СЛ. Deviations from the norms of chemical composition are allowed: for carbon ± 0.020%; for silicon ± 0.10%; on manganese, copper, chromium and nickel ± 0.10% each; by titanium and tungsten ± 0.050% each; by vanadium, molybdenum and niobium ± 0.020% each.

Features of heat treatment Steel castings to eliminate the tendency to intergranular corrosion are subjected to hardening regime: heating to 1035-1065 °C, exposure during heating for quenching for products with wall thickness up to 10 mm - 30 min, over 10 mm — 20 min + 1 min per 1 mm max thickness cooling in water or oil depending on the thickness of the material and configuration of the product. Products austenite-ferritic steels do not require heat treatment after welding.
