Notes:
1. At the request of the consumer, the foil is made of any width and length within the dimensions specified in table.1. Can be manufactured in foil sheets of smaller size in an amount up to 15% of the batch by weight.
2. When calculating the theoretical mass of the foil density is taken equal to g/cm:
tin foil is 7.3;
for lead foil plated with tin and 11.1.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
1.2. Legend foil are put on the scheme

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Foil should be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
(Added, Rev. N 1).
2.1. Sheets of tin foil are made of an alloy consisting of tin not below grade 02 GOST 860−75 doped antimony is not below grade SS2 according to GOST 1089−82, they must have the chemical composition specified in table.2.

2.2. Sheets of lead foil plated with tin, the main layer should be the lead not below grade C3 according to GOST 3778−77* (ST SEV 142−75) doped with antimony in an amount of from 1.9 to 3.1 percent (not below grade SS2 according to GOST 1089−82) and tin in an amount of from 1.0 to 3.0% (not below grade 02 GOST 860−75).
______________
* On the territory of the Russian Federation GOST 3778−98. — Note the manufacturer’s database.
2.3. Sheets of lead foil planiruyut on both sides with a layer of tin. For plating use alloy of tin and antimony corresponding to the chemical composition of tin foil specified in clause 2.1. The thickness of the cladding layer on each side of the foil should be the same and the sum of both cladding layers should be from 5 to 8% of the thickness of foil sheet.
Note. By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer allowed a plating layer of tin brand 03 to GOST 860−75 with antimony content is from 1.9 to 3.1%, copper up to 0.2 percent and lead is down to 3%.
2.1−2.3. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
2.4. A plating layer of tin should not separate from the lead Foundation.
2.5. The surface of the foil sheets must be clean, flat, smooth, with one side shiny. On the other side of the sheet is allowed opacity. The surface of the sheets must not have foreign inclusions, captive, breaks, clamps, dents, signs of corrosion and holes that are visible when examining against the light.
Permitted isolated small holes that are visible when examining against the light without the use of magnifying devices that do not have a stroke location or local clusters; a strip of lubricant is not more than 10% of the total number of sheets; grease stains easily removable with organic solvents.
The quality of the surface can be determined by standard samples agreed between the manufacturer and the consumer in the prescribed manner.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
2.6. The foil sheets need to be trimmed in a pack exactly the right angle. Cut end Squareness, mm should take the tile dimensions tolerance on width and length.
2.7. The foil sheets should be free to separate from one another.
3. ACCEPTANCE RULES
3.1. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).
3.2. Foil take parties. The party should consist of a foil of one brand of metal the same size and decorated the same document about quality that contains:
trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;
the brand of metal;
the results of chemical analysis;
the size of the sheets;
the weight of the party;
batch number;
the designation of this standard.
The weight of the batch shall be not more than 1000 kg.
3.3. Control the appearance and thickness is exposed to each sheet; the width, length and skew of the cut to 5% leaves the party on mass.
3.4. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one indicator thereon, a second test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
3.2−3.4. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
3.5, 3.6 (Deleted, Rev. N 1).
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. Visual inspection of the foil sheets should be produced without the use of magnifying devices.
4.2. The thickness of the foil check in packs, each consisting of 10 sheets.
The thickness of the stack of foils is measured with a micrometer according to GOST 6507−78* no closer than 50 mm from the vertex of the angle and 15 mm from the edge of the sheet.
