1 Scope
This standard applies to rods Nickel alloy Monel round section drawn and hot rolled, used in a variety of industries.
The standard specifies the dimensions, technical requirements, acceptance rules, methods of control and testing, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of rods.

3 Terms and definitions
This standard applies the terminology according to GOST 32597, as well as the following terms with respective definitions:
3.1 rod: a Solid product of uniform cross section throughout its length, in the form of a circle, square, regular polygons, supplied in straight lengths or rolled in the Bay.
3.2 measuring length: the Product of a certain length, specified in the order, straight leg, or in the Bay.
3.3 times the length: the Period of integral multiple of the number of core length with an allowance for cutting and a tolerance on the overall length.
4 Assortment
4.1 nominal diameter drawn bar and limit deviations of the diameter must match the values specified in table 1.

4.3 By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer, the bars are made of intermediate diameters with maximum deviations for the next larger size listed in tables 1 and 2.
4.4 Rods produce other sizes according to the diameter, the maximum deviation, the requirements for surface quality, curvature, Cochin Reza established by agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer.

5 Technical requirements
5.1 Bars manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
5.2 Rods are made from alloy grade Nmzhmts 28−2,5−1,5 with the chemical composition according to GOST 492.
5.3 as of metal cold-drawn bars are manufactured mild (M) and hard (T).
Hot rods are made netravlenoy.
5.4 the surface of the bars must be smooth and clean, free from contamination, hindering their examination, do not have cracks and delamination.
On the surface of bars can be slightly individual surface defects in the form of a prisoner, scratches, grooves, dents, cavities, indentations*, traces of pulling and straightening is not displaying the bars for limit deviation for diameter.

5.5. In the fracture of bars should not be extraneous inclusions, delaminations, and voids.
The number and size of wooloowin permitted inside bars, determined by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.

5.6 Rods deliver exactly cut from two sides. The cut shall be perpendicular to the axis of the rod.
Allowed to produce rods with a diameter of 25 mm or less, with the cut ends.
5.7 the roundness of the round bar should not display their size beyond the permissible deviations in diameter.
5.8 the length of the rods are made with variable length, are given in table 3.

5.9 Bars manufactured lengths or multiple lengths within the limits specified in table 3 random lengths with a tolerance of +10 mm.
Rods of standard length or multiple lengths manufactured without restriction of the lower limit of the length.
5.10 the Bars must be straightened. The local curvature of the rods 1 m length should not exceed the values given in table 4.

The overall curvature of the rod should not exceed the limit values of the local curvature of 1 m for the total length of the rod in meters.

6 acceptance Rules
6.1 Bars take parties. The party must consist of bars of one method of manufacture, one precision manufacturing, one state of the material, the same size and decorated the same document about quality that contains:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the name of the country of manufacture;
— legal address of the manufacturer and (or) the seller;
— designation of wire;
— the batch number;
— test results (as required);
the weight of the party;
— the number of seats.
The weight of the batch shall be not more than 1000 kg.
Allowed to issue one document about quality for several batches of bars delivered simultaneously to the same consumer.
6.2 To control the size and surface quality of bars used single-stage normal sampling plan for the alternative characteristic in accordance with GOST 18242, with the acceptance level of defects of 4.0%.
The sampling plan given in table 6. The selection of bars in the sample is carried out «blindly» (by the greatest objectivity) according to GOST 18321.

The game is not complying with the requirements of tables 1 and 2 and 5.4, if the number of defective bars in the sample is greater than or equal to the acceptance number given in table 6.
At the customer’s request quality control of the surface subjected to each rod.
Allowed the manufacturer to carry out continuous control of surface quality and dimensions of bars.
6.3 allowed the manufacturer to control the surface quality and the dimensions of the bars in the production process.
6.4 To check the curvature of bars selected 10% of the rods or beams of the party.
6.5 To check for a fracture take two rods, or two bunches from the party.
6.6 To check the rods on the lack of wooloowin taken away from the party for three rods or three bundles, and each bundle is one bar. The tests are carried out at the request of the consumer.
6.7 To check the mechanical properties are selected from the party for two rods or two beams, and each beam — one rod for each type of test.
6.8 To determine the chemical composition of the material of bars from the party taken by two rods or two beams, and each beam — one rod according to GOST 24231.
The manufacturer is allowed to inspect the chemical composition of the samples taken from the molten metal.
6.9 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators in the 6.4−6.7 it is carried out re-testing at twice the sample taken from the same batch.
The results of repeated tests spread to the entire party.
6.10 allowed by agreement between manufacturer and consumer to use statistical methods of control of mechanical properties and curvature.
7 Methods of inspection and testing
7.1 visual examination of the surface of the rods is carried out without the use of magnifying devices.
7.2 Measurement of diameter and ovality is carried out in at least two mutually perpendicular directions of bars drawn — micrometer according to GOST 6507, hot-rolled bars — caliper according to GOST 166.
7.3 the length of the bars measured by metal ruler according to GOST 427 or measuring tape according to GOST 7502.
7.4 the curvature of the test bars according to GOST 26877 using the calibration line of the churchyard 8026 and probes according to normative-technical documentation.
7.5 Checking for a fracture subjected to both ends of the rod.
To check rod fracture bars incised, after which they break. The incision should be made so that the fracture passed through the Central part of the rod and had a width of:
— not less than 60% diameter — for bars with diameter up to 16 mm;
— not less than 10 mm, for bars with diameter over 16 mm.
The broken end of the rod for the dispatch cut. Inspection of the fracture is carried out without the use of magnifying devices.
7.6 To test the rods on the lack of wooloowin from each of the taken at 6.6 bars take one sample.
The presence of wooloowin inside of bars is determined according to the method specified in Appendix A.
7.7 tensile Test bars is carried out according to GOST 1497.
The selection and preparation of samples for tensile tests carried out according to GOST 24047.
7.8 Chemical composition is determined by GOST 6689.1−6689.3 GOST, GOST 6689.5−6689.7 GOST, GOST 6689.10-GOST 6689.19 or other methods of equal accuracy standards specified in this standard.
If there is disagreement in assessing the quality of the chemical composition of bars is determined according to GOST 6689.1−6689.3 GOST, GOST 6689.5−6689.7 GOST, GOST 6689.10-GOST 6689.19.
7.9 the Manufacturer is allowed to apply other testing methods, providing the required accuracy set out in this standard. If there is disagreement in the definition of the indicator monitoring is carried out by the method specified in this standard.
8 Packing, marking, transportation and storage
8.1 Bars with a diameter up to 35 mm inclusive tied into bundles weighing not more than 80 kg each.
Each bundle should consist of at least three bars and should be tied with wire in two turns with a diameter of more than 1.2 mm according to GOST 3282 in at least two places, and when the length of the bars more than 3 mm not less than three locations evenly along the length of the bar, thus to preclude the reciprocal movement of bars in the beam.
The ends of the wire connected by twisting at least five turns.
Allowed a bunch of bundles with packing tape section according to GOST 3560.
Bars with the diameter more than 35 mm in the beams don’t connect.
8.2 Drawn rods with diameter up to 10 mm high, inclusive and high accuracy packaged in one or two layers in synthetic and non-woven materials according to normative-technical documents, ensure quality safety rods, and tie on top of the packing material wire according to GOST 3282 in at least two places.
The quality of packaging and packaging materials is allowed to use other types of packing and packaging materials, according to normative-technical documents, strength is not inferior to the specified in this standard and ensuring the safety of products.
8.3 package should be generated in the transport packages on pallets churchyard 9557. Dimensions of packages — according to GOST 24597 and GOST 26663 and normative-technical documents.
Weight of package must not exceed 1250 kg. a means of binding the transport packages according to GOST 21650.
The formation of packages can be with the use of wooden bars with dimensions not less than 50x50 mm with tying wire with diameter at least 2 mm in two turns according to GOST 3282 or tape size 0,3x30 mm according to GOST 3560, or by using a sling also packageable wire according to GOST 3282 diameter not less than 5 mm with the twist of not less than three turns.
The ends of the wire connected by twisting at least five turns of tape to the castle.
8.4 Packaging of products sent to the far North or remote areas, — according to GOST 15846, group «Metals and metal products."
8.5 each beam rods should be attached to the metal, cardboard or plywood label according to GOST 14192 which specify:
is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
— the name of the country of manufacture;
— the symbol bars;
— the batch number;
— the designation of this standard;
— the stamp of the technical control room or controller.
8.6 At the end of each rod, supplied without packaging and are not in conjunction, should be embossed:
— grade alloy;
— the batch number;
— stamp of technical control.
Grade can enter the abbreviated form.
These data allowed to put permanent paint on the side surface of the rod.
8.7 Transportation of bars is carried out by all kinds of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species.
Vehicles for rods with a length of over 3 m is determined in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species.
Training for carriage of goods by sea is carried out in accordance with GOST 26653.
8.8 Transport marking of packages — according to GOST 14192 with the application of manipulation sign «Protect from moisture» and additional label batch number in the free from traffic markings. Transport marking applied by any method stipulated by GOST 14192.
8.9 When stored in covered facilities and during transportation of the bars should be protected from mechanical damage, moisture and active chemical substances.
8.10 subject to these conditions of transportation and storage of consumer properties of bars do not change.
Annex a (recommended). Method of determination of wooloowin on the bars of Monel
Appendix A
(recommended)
The methodology is designed to identify and determine the number of wooloowin inside of bars used for welding. The method is based on etching of a freshly rods with concentrated nitric acid.
A. 1 Reagents and controlled samples
A. 1.1 concentrated nitric Acid according to GOST 701.
A. 1.2 Controlled samples to produce a stepped turning. The length of the sample, which determine the presence of wooloowin shall be (150±2) mm.
Sample form is shown in figure A. 1.

A. 2 Preparing to monitor
A. 2.1 Turning steps on the samples is carried out with a sharp cutter when cutting depth is not more than 0.5 mm and feed of 0.25 mm.
A. 2.2 the diameters of the steps set depending on the diameter of bars and they should correspond to those in table A. 1.
