Note. Theoretical weight of 1 m of drawn and hot-rolled bars are given in Appendix 1.
1.3. Oval bars should not display their dimensions for limit deviation for diameter.
1.4. The length of the bars must be manufactured:
— random length:
pulled from 1.5 to 4 m;
rolled up to a diameter of 60 mm — from 1,0 to 3,0 m,
diameter over 60 mm, from 0.7 to 1.4 m;
— measuring length or a multiple dimensional — within off-gage length with maximum deviation of +15 mm.
In the party of bars with variable length are allowed the cropped bars: not more than 15% of the delivered consignment (by weight): pull bars must be a minimum length of 1 m, rolled bars with a diameter up to 60 mm — not less than 0,7 m, diameter over 60 mm — not less than 0.5 m.
In coordination with the consumer the drawn rods with diameter less than 14 mm is supposed to put in the bays. Length of bars in the bays should be at least 4 m.
By agreement with the consumer allowed to put bars of a different size.

is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;
mark Nickel;
— size of bars;
— precision manufacturing;
— method of manufacture;
— the condition of the material;
— the weight of the batch;
— the batch number;
— the designation of this standard.
The weight of the batch shall not exceed 1000 kg.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
3.2. The surface inspection and verification of dimensions are subjected to each bar of the party.
3.3 To test breaking test bars in tensile take two rods, two beams or the two bays of the party.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
3.4. The curvature of the drawn bars mild not determined.
3.5. To check the chemical composition of the taken: two rods, two beams or the two bays of the party. Allowed the manufacturers of the test chemical composition to produce the samples taken from the molten metal of each batch.
3.6. If unsatisfactory results at least in one of the figures on it, repeat tests are carried out at twice the sample bars taken from the same batch.
The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
3.5, 3.6. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. Inspect the surface of the rods without the use of magnifying devices.
4.2. Control of the diameters of the drawn bar is produced by micrometer with scale interval of 0.01 mm according to GOST 6507−90, diameter hot rolled bars — a caliper with a scale interval of 0.1 mm according to GOST 166−89.
The bar length is measured with a metal ruler according to GOST 427−75 or measuring tape according to GOST 7502−89.
4.3. The curvature of bars checking following method: the rod is placed on the stove to check the rod put a straightedge according to GOST 8026−92 and using the probe for NTD measure the maximum distance between the line and rod.
4.4. Testing of metal fracture is performed on two bars. Each beam or Bay taken by one rod. Selected bars incised with one or both sides, and then break them. The incision should be made so that the fracture passed through the Central part of the rod and had a width of not less than:
60% of the diameter for bars with diameter up to 16 mm, incl.;
10 mm, for bars with diameter over 16 mm.
The broken end of the rod for the dispatch cut.
Fracture inspect without the use of magnifying devices. By agreement with the consumer control the quality of bars is allowed to produce non-destructive methods.
4.5. The tensile test bars is carried out according to GOST 1497−84 with the following addition: samples for testing are made depending on the dimensions of the test rod with a diameter of 5, 8, 10, 12, 15 mm (nearest smaller diameter).
The tensile test is carried out on two bars. Each beam or Bay taken by one rod. From each wire take one sample.
