Technical characteristics
Elinvar constructional corrosion-resistant maraging steel of 21NKMT-VI grade is melted in the induction open furnace. It is produced in accordance with specifications 14-1-5366-98. Hardening at 880 °C gives the steel strength σ0,2 ≥ 850 N/mm², σ in ≥ 900. Air hardening (t° 880°C) followed by aging (t° 880°C) for two hours gives a strength of σ0.2 ≥ 950 N/mm², σ in ≥ 1100. It is used in the production of elastic and sensitive elements with complex shapes as well as gyroscopes, suspensions, rotors.
