Technical characteristics
Stainless steel of special purpose of 10Х13Г18Д (DI-61) grade has high heat resistance and resistance to sulfuric environment. This alloy is characterized by resistance in alkaline and chloride operating conditions, it is not prone to intercrystalline corrosion. The main alloying element is manganese. This fact positively affects the price of the products. This alloy is used for welded chemical equipment, parts of furnace fixtures and heat exchangers with operating temperature up to 700 ° C (screens, sheet parts of furnace rollers, muffles).
Production
Steel 10Х13Г18Д (DI-61) is a chromium-manganese-nickel alloy of austenitic class. It is melted in open electric furnaces. Production is regulated by GOST: 25 054-81; 5632-72; 5582-75; 5949-75; 7350-77; 4405-75 as well as by TU 14-1-170-72. This alloy is economically alloyed analogue of X18H10 steel. Alloying has a versatile effect on steel quality. Chromium increases hardness and corrosion resistance. Nickel imparts ductility to the alloy. Manganese content above 1% increases impact strength and wear resistance. Copper increases ductility and prevents rusting. This steel deforms both hot and cold. Stamping, forging and rolling are carried out at 1150-850°C. It can be welded by all kinds of welding. The electrodes on the basis of X18H9 wire are used for manual electric arc welding.

Steel 10Х13Г18Д (DI-61) has 1 point of resistance in 5-10% HNO3 up to 80 °C and in 60-65% HNO3 at 20°C; in 10% acetic acid and 10% H3P04 up to 80 °C; in tap water up to 85 °C.
