Resistance of ferrules wire

Relevance

Fehrali wire owes its high electrical resistance primarily to its chemical composition. This material belongs to the class of precision alloys and therefore has all the advantages and disadvantages of this group. Fehral is now a newcomer to the nickel-based resistance alloy market and is the basis for both domestic and industrial heaters operating in an atmosphere containing sulphur at a temperature of up to 1400°C.

Technical characteristics

The heat-resistant Fehral alloy is an iron-based compound of chromium and aluminum. The alloying components are manganese, titanium, and silicon. Like nickel-based alloys, it has a high specific electrical resistance and is therefore quite often used as an alternative to nichrome.
