General requirements
General requirements for elements of copper conductive structures apply to round and shaped cables, wires and cords made of copper wire. These elements must not have sharp edges, burrs, convexities on the surface of the wires, as well as sinks, deducing the dimensions of the deviation established by the standard… The diameter of individual conductors is not regulated, but their total electrical resistance must comply with the stipulated in GOST.
Classes of conductive cores
Despite the huge variety of conductive designs and used conductor materials for wires and cables for general purposes, developed general requirements for the elements of the standard cross section in accordance with GOST 22 483−77. This applies to round and shaped (sector) and sealed conductive copper and copper-tin wire cable products with or without metal coating. Copper conductor wire designs are divided into six classes. Classes 1 and 2 are for stationary installation and cable products, while classes 3 through 6 are for cables of increased flexibility.
