Copper tube annealed and not annealed

Relevance

Annealed and untreated copper tubes are used in various industries which require high resistance to sudden and frequent changes in pressure and temperature. They are equally in demand both in automotive industry and production of household appliances (refrigerators and air conditioners), as well as in creation of water and gas supply systems. Due to such qualities as corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, seamless copper round tubes are indispensable in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration circuits, indoor gas and water supply systems. Copper alloys are the main material of internal gas piping in countries such as Australia, Britain, France. And Hong Kong, Sweden, UK, USA use copper alloys as the main material for water pipes, and Sweden and UK for steam heating pipes. As a rule, some disadvantages of copper alloys are eliminated by coating the pipes with a layer of polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride, which can significantly improve the efficiency of operation .

Classification

According to shape pipes are classified into: round, square and rectangular sections. By production method: cold rolled - "D", pressed, drawn - "G". According to the accuracy of production: "P" - increased accuracy, "N" - normal accuracy. According to the state of the material: hard - "T"; soft - "M"; semi-hard - "P"; soft increased plasticity - "L"; hard increased strength - "F"; semi-hard increased strength - "P". Lengths: multiple of length - "KD", off - "NDL", in coils - "BT".

Advantages of

Copper tubes are notable for high ductility, corrosion resistance, electrical and thermal conductivity. They are easy to weld, solder and meet strict sanitary standards. They are exceptionally advantageous to use: they are easy to cut, drill, stamp, mount. They work over a wide temperature range. They have properties such as durability, the ability to withstand considerable variations in temperature, pressure and adverse weather phenomena. Their internal surfaces are free of fungus and bacteria colonies, copper does not react with chlorinated water, has a very low resistivity (less than that of silver only). Copper is relatively cheap and very technologically advanced.

Manufacturing

Tubes are made of grades M1, M3, M2 with chemical compositions according to GOST 859-2001 hard, soft and drawn. Matted surfaces with standard quality of finishes, standard accuracy of manufacturing by diameter and wall thickness. Sampling to check the chemical composition is regulated by GOST 24 231-80. During the production process the following GOSTs are adhered to: 617-90 (thick-walled water pipe), 16774-78 (square and rectangular section), 2624-77 (capillary tube), 20 900-75 (waveguide), 11383-75 (thin-walled), 21 646/2003 (for heat exchangers and heaters), 17217-79 (tube of copper-nickel alloy MHZh5-1). Circuits for air conditioning systems are produced in accordance with Technical Conditions 184 450-106-181-2006. Chemical composition of the material fully meets the requirements of domestic and foreign quality standards. Thick-walled pipes of general purpose are produced as per GOST 617-2006; thin-walled drawn pipes are produced as per GOST 11383-75. Curvature, ovality and angle of cut must comply with GOST 26877-91.

Application .

Copper distribution of heating and gas-water systems significantly reduces overhead costs during installation. It is important that the wall plumbing is not affected by chlorinated water. It is also important that copper has bacteriostatic properties - it prevents the growth of bacteria. Period of trouble-free operation of such water pipes is from 60 to 110 years. Copper pipe is used for creating climatic equipment, air conditioners, refrigerators, decorative elements, and brass instruments. It is in demand in power engineering, housing and communal services, mechanical engineering, construction. During the construction of technical communication and sanitary systems, preference is given to a pipe made of the same material - significantly reduced costs. Very often copper pipe is not the final product, but only a billet of rolling parts.

Packaging, transportation, storage and temporary corrosion protection are made in accordance with GOST 9.510-93. It is possible to buy rolled steel of non-standard parameters under the order.

Marking

"K" means high precision of curvature;

"B" - increased length accuracy;

"U" - increased length in the coil.

Pipe can be made by drawing from seamless billet "D" or from welded billet "S": soft "M", semi-solid "P" or hard "T". The pipe may have: increased ductility with "PP" marking; increased strength with "PT" marking

- "C" welded billet, - "KD" multiple length;

- "P" any billet. - "BT" coiled;

- "G" pressed billets, - "MD" measured;

- "L" increased plasticity, - "ND": out of dimension;
