Description
Steel SHKH15 is used: for the production of seamless cold — and hot-deformed tubes for the manufacture of rings, ball and roller bearings; balls with a diameter of 150 mm, roller diameter up to 23 mm; bushings plungers, plungers; pressure valves; housings dispensers; roller tappets and other parts that demand high hardness, wear resistance and contact strength; autogenous round wire with a diameter of 1.4−10.0 mm for the manufacture of balls, rollers and bearing rings.
Note
Steel ШХ15Ф-sh electroslag remelting additionally alloyed with vanadium.

Fe is the basis.
According to GOST 801-78 and TU 14-1-3911-85 the chemical composition is given for steel grade SHKh15. The total content of Ni + Cu≤ 0.50%. In steel, obtained by the method of electroslag remelting, the mass fraction of sulfur should not exceed 0.01%, and phosphorus 0.025%. When steel is smelted in acid open-hearth furnaces, the mass fraction of copper is allowed up to 0.30%, while maintaining the norm of the total share of copper and nickel is not more than 0.050%.
According to GOST 21022-75, the chemical composition is given for steel grade SHKh15-DSH, obtained by remelting in vacuum-arc furnace electrodes made of steel SHKh15, made of metal electroslag remelting.
