Description
73Ц steel is used: for the manufacture of rails Ostryakova types OR75, OR65 and OR50, used in the construction of the top structure of a railway track.

According to GOST 9960-85 the rails should be made of calm open-hearth steel, deoxidized in the ladle with complex deoxidizers without the use of aluminum or other deoxidizers, which form harmful non-metallic inclusions in steel.
The zirconium content in the range from 0.001% to 0.01% in steel is determined from the calculation of its input of not less than 80 grams per ton of liquid steel.
