3 Symbols and abbreviations

3.1 marking stamps letters mean: TG — spongy titanium, TV — solid; the numbers are: 90, 100, 110, 120, etc. — hardness values in units of Brinell HB, determined by the indentation of a steel ball of 10 mm diameter under stress 14715 N (1500 kgf) and the duration of exposure was 30 s.

3.2 designation of fractional composition of digits indicates the maximum size in one dimension pieces of sponge titanium corresponding to the size of sieves in which the pieces scattered. The minus sign means that the result of sieving the product obtained through a sieve of the specified size of holes, and the plus sign above the sieve.

For titanium sponge fractions -12+2 mm, -12+5 mm and -5+2 mm to the brand designation added the letter «M».

4 General technical requirements

4.1 the Characteristics (properties)

4.1.1 depending on the chemical composition and mechanical properties are the following grades of titanium sponge: TG-90, TG-100, TG-110, TG-120, TG-130, TG-150 and TG-TV.

Notes

1 the results of the analysis are rounded to the last character specified in the table.

2 Mass fraction of titanium is determined by difference: 100% minus the sum of the mass fractions of the impurities.

3 by agreement between the manufacturer and the customer in spongy titanium, except for the brand TG-TV, determine the mass fraction of non-regulated contaminants: hydrogen, magnesium, aluminum, vanadium, chromium, manganese, copper, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, palladium, tin, tantalum, tungsten.

4.1.2 titanium Sponge (except TG-TV) obtained in the form of lumps of irregular shape should be divided into the fractions: -70+12 mm and -12+2 mm.

By agreement of the parties is allowed to produce sponge titanium fractions: -100+12 mm -25+12 mm, -12+5 mm, -5+2 mm, etc.

4.1.2.1 In batches of titanium sponge of all brands (except TG-TV) and fractions should be no more than 10% of pieces are larger than the upper limit of fractions.

4.1.2.2 In batches of titanium sponge stamps TG-90, TG-100, TG-110, TG-120 faction -70+12 mm should not be more than 4% of the batch weight pieces smaller than the lower limit of the fraction for the remaining grades and factions — more than 8%.

4.1.3 the titanium Sponge stamps TG-TV made in the form of compressed briquettes with a diameter from 115 to 170 mm and a height of from 20 to 180 mm.

Scree moulded briquettes should not be more than 1% of the batch weight.

By agreement with the consumer of titanium sponge stamps TG-TV comes with briquettes other sizes or abrication.

4.1.4 the titanium Sponge must not contain foreign objects and impurities.

4.1.5 titanium Sponge (except for the brand TG-TV) must not contain pieces of titanium sponge with defects listed in Appendix A.

In spongy titanium with the grain size less than 12 mm are allowed pieces of titanium sponge with defects listed in Annex A, but not more than 0,03% of the mass of the party.

4.2 Marking

4.2.1 Transport labeling performed according to GOST 14192 with the indicating manipulation of the sign 5 according to GOST 14192 («Limit temp -50°C — + 50°C» GOST 14192).

For products Packed in 4.3.2.1, additionally point sign 7 according to GOST 14192 («Sealed package» GOST 14192).

In the case of carload shipments the transportation markings on the packaging do not cause.

4.2.2 Labeling describing the products should be applied to each packaging unit packaging separate from traffic markings.

4.2.3 Labeling describing the products should include:
