Titanium giant increases production capacity

In the coming 2014 known tycoon titanium «VSMPO-AVISMA» expects to complete the construction of two large industrial facilities. Entering additional production capacity should help in expanding the production of cylindrical workpiece of titanium, intended for sverhstoykih designs. According to the plan — forging power plants will grow by 15−20%. This was stated by Director General responsible «VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation» to «AviaPort» agency held a press conference.

After launch new skull furnace, «VSMPO-AVISMA» is obliged to increase the volume of melted titanium three times, with the new technology ensures an exclusive, ultra-pure metal. Currently, production is only equipped with two melting furnaces of this type, moreover, they are very underpowered. In 2015, the company plans to launch two more of the same department.

The investment component of these projects is estimated two billion rubles. Therefore in 2014 also will be purchased and installed a line for the production of interior parts — coils and motors rings. ring rolling mill will be located in a part of the line, the press, special furnaces and other, less significant equipment.

Corporation «VSMPO-AVISMA» is the world's largest producer of titanium, titanium ingots and alloys, as well as extruded products of stainless steel, aluminum and heat-resistant nickel alloys, and other convenience foods. The organization provides jobs for about twenty thousand people, and the largest shareholder of the company is a public trust «Russian Technologies», along with the management of the «VSMPO-AVISMA.»
