Fe is the basis.
According to TU 14-1-2687-79 the chemical composition is given for steel grade 50RA.
According to TU 14-1-2782-79, the chemical composition is given for steel grade 50RA, smelted in open electric arc furnaces. In the steel, deviations in chemical composition are allowed: in carbon ± 0.010%, in silicon ± 0.020%, in manganese ± 0.020%, in sulfur ± 0.0030%, in phosphorus ± 0.0030%, provided that the total mass fraction of sulfur and phosphorus will not be more than 0.0280%. Boron is introduced according to the calculation without fumes in an amount not exceeding 0.0045%, while the residual content in the steel should not be less than 0.0010%.
