Magnitogorsk plant launched a new unit

Magnitogorsk iron and steel works will start up the third unit of continuous hot dip galvanizing. The new unit will allow MMK to increase its capacity for electric galvanized rolled products. Unit No. 3 was built on the site of sheet-rolling shop. A contract stipulating the delivery of the equipment, CMI concluded in July 2015. Supplier was German machine-building concern SMS group. Annual unit capacity will be 360,000 tonnes. You need to use cold-rolled strip. The coating on it is not present, the products are produced in rolling mill 11. Construction started in September of 2015, its total value reached 6 billion. From them on installation and construction work had almost 2.5 billion rubles. In the construction process, workers have installed more than 3.5 thousand tons of metal structures. Wall fences were installed in the order of 12.4 thousand tons.
