The new US President signed a Memorandum on the construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access

Donald trump has officially started work on the post of the President of the United States. One of the first steps of the trump was the signing of the Memorandum on two projects. The construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access has been frozen by the last administration of us President Barack Obama.

The Dakota Access project, at the time, provoked the protests of residents of the state in the West of the country. Keystone XL is the largest project on infrastructure development in the entire history of the United States.

In addition, Donald trump has signed a sensational order. It says pre-emptive rights of American manufacturers to supply pipes for these objects.

At the official ceremony of signing documents Donald trump said: «Now the decision-making process is extremely long, cumbersome and does not meet modern requirements. Today we are talking about streamlining this process.»

According to trump, the launch of these projects will be able to provide twenty-eight thousand people with jobs. During the ceremony, the American President demanded that the Ministry of Commerce to develop a new project. Ministry officials should develop a mechanism for granting preferences to local steelmakers. Thus, the American metallurgical enterprises will receive benefits for participation in pipeline projects. The President outlined the dates on which the Ministry needs to be developed a mechanism. There is not more than six months.

A day earlier, Donald trump has signed another important document. A decree on the withdrawal of the United States from the Pacific to the agreement was certified on Monday. About this decision, trump stated before. The aim of the project was the creation of a shared retail space in Asia Tihookeanskii the region. Besides the United States, parties to the agreement involved eleven States. The participating countries are already developing a plan for further cooperation with the United States. In the Pacific region accounts for a third of all world trade.

American Association of iron and steel approved the signing of the Memorandum on Keystone XL and Dakota Access.

The President of the Association said: «the members of the Association highly appreciate the decision of the President. Work on projects will begin soon. The pipelines will be able to produce energy using domestic sources.»
