According to GOST 27772-88, a part of the nickel's mass fraction of cobalt can be replaced in steel. When smelting steel from the Kerch ore, the mass fraction of arsenic does not exceed 0.15%, while the mass fraction of phosphorus should not be more than 0.030%. When processing with synthetic slag of steel S590K with a mass fraction of sulfur not more than 0.015%, the mass fraction of residual titanium is allowed up to 0.040% and the mass fraction of copper is up to 0.50%; at a mass fraction of sulfur of more than 0.15%, the mass fraction of titanium is allowed up to 0.030%. In the manufacture of steel by the method of electroslag remelting, the letter W: C590KH is added to the designation of steel, the mass fraction of sulfur should not be more than 0.010%, phosphorus - not more than 0.020%.
