Description
Babbit bn is used: for the manufacture of ingots used to fill the bearings and other parts; bearings operating at medium speeds and medium loads; bearings of diesel engines, compressors, ship belovodov; in engine and metallurgical engineering (to fill the connecting rod, indigenous and head bearings of internal combustion engines, bearings of steam turbines, marine steam turbines up to 1200 HP, steam engines, turbines, electric locomotives, electric motors with power up to 750 kW., generators up to 500 kW compressors power up to 500 HP, lifting machinery, gears, gear train, rolling mills, crushers).

Babbit grade bn recommended as a substitute for babbit B16 brand.
The coefficient of friction of the babbit without lubrication is 0.27, with a lubricant — 0,006. The maximum allowable speed is 15 m/sec. Maximum load capacity: static — 220 kgf/cm2, dynamic: 800 kg/cm2 sec, shock — 60 kgf/cm2 sec. The maximum temperature of normal bearing operation — +130 °C. recommended thickness of fill ≥ 2.0 to 3.0 mm.
