This standard applies to extruded profiles of constant cross section from magnesium alloys with the cross-sectional area up to 12 cmand a diameter of circumscribed circle is up to 150 mm.
1. CLASSIFICATION
1.1. The profiles are divided as follows:
type:
solid;
hollow;
by state of material:
without heat treatment (hot-pressed) to indicate the brand of a magnesium alloy without any additional signs;
distressed — T1.
2. ASSORTMENT
2.1. The shape and dimensions of profiles of square cross-sections, the diameters of the circumscribed circle according to GOST 13616−97, 13617−97 GOST, GOST 13618−97, 13619−97 GOST, GOST 13620−90, 13621−90 GOST, GOST 13622−91, 13623−90 GOST, GOST 13624−90, 13737−90 GOST, GOST 13738−91, 17575−90 GOST, GOST 17576−97 and drawings approved by manufacturer and consumer.
2.2. Maximum deviations of sizes of cross-section solid profiles should not exceed the values given in table.1.

2.3. Limit deviation of the cross-sectional dimensions of hollow sections should not exceed the values given in table.1, with a factor of 1.5.
2.4. Limit deviation of the size between the free ends of the elements cross-sections, the characteristic shape of which is given on features.1−4, set as the sum of the limit deviations nominal size (tab.1) and the limit deviation of the inclination of the shelves profile is ±0,03(shelf height).

2.5. The value of the radius of the corners if they are not specified in drawings and the standards listed in clause 2.1 set:

In the joint areas of the shelves and walls of varying thickness allowable radius of curvature is determined by the larger thickness.
2.6. Limit deviations for radii of the rounded corners not shown on the drawings shall not exceed:
±0.25 mm for radii up to 1 mm incl.;
±10% of nominal value for radii of more than 1 mm, but not less than ±0.5 mm.
2.7. The magnitude of the blunting of sharp edges, not indicated on the drawings, shall be allowed:
to 0.3 mm when the thickness of the shelves or walls up to 3 mm incl.; |

The radii of the rounded corners and blunt the sharp edges up to 1 mm are provided with manufacturing technology.
2.8. The twist angle around the longitudinal axis at any section of the profile with a length of 1 m must not exceed:
3° — if the width of the base surface up to 50 mm incl.; |

2.9. Limit deviations of angular dimensions of cross-sections, if the angle is not extreme deviations, limiting its dimensions, should not exceed ±4° on the profiles with a flange width up to 2 mm and ±3° on the profiles with a flange width of more than 2 mm.
2.10. Profiles should be straight. Longitudinal smooth deviation from straightness on any plane on any portion of the profile length of 1 m must not exceed:
4 mm for the profiles with thickness of walls and flanges of St. 4 to 10 mm incl.; |

On the profiles with Bulba or at least one wedge-shaped element with a flange plate thickness greater than 4 mm, the deviation from straightness on any plane on any portion of the profile length of 1 m should not exceed 4 mm.
2.11. On the profiles with the thickness of the shelves and walls up to 4 mm, inclusive, including profiles with Bulba or at least one wedge-shaped element allowed the longitudinal deviation from straightness per 1 m length, are fixed by the application of a force not exceeding 50 N (5 kgf) on the profile, mounted on a flat plate.
2.12. The total permissible longitudinal deviation from straightness and torsion of the profile shall not exceed the relevant standards set at 1 m, the length of the profile in meters.
2.13. The profiles allowed smooth waviness with the wave height of not more than 1 mm, and for profiles with Bulba or at least one wedge-shaped element, is not more than 2 mm.
The number of wavy places should not be more than one 2 m length. Waviness with the wave height of 0,2 mm does not control.
2.14. Transverse smooth deviation from flatness () profiles, the shape of which is given on features.5−9, should not exceed for profiles solid section with flange width from 10 to 50 mm is 1.5%, flange width over 50 mm 1.2 percent of flange width, but not less than 0.3 mm and for hollow sections — 2% of the width of a shelf or wall, but not less than 0.5 mm.

2.15. Profiles are produced up to a length of 4.8 m.
2.14, 2.15. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).
2.15.1. Profiles are made random, exact or multiple lengths within the size specified in claim 2.15.
2.15.2. Profiles multiple lengths must be made with consideration of allowance for each cut is 5 mm.
2.16. Limit deviations of the length of the profiles dimensional and multiple lengths shall not exceed +20 mm.
2.17. The profiles must be cut at right angle. Cut end Squareness, mm should not exceed 3° and should not display the profiles outside the sample length.
2.18. Maximum deviations in individual dimensions of profiles not covered by this standard, including the limit tolerances of the cavity, if necessary, should be indicated on the drawings, as agreed between the manufacturer and the consumer.

3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Profiles are produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.
Profiles are produced from magnesium alloys marks MA1, MA2, MA2−1, MA2−1pch; МА8, MA12, MA14 with the chemical composition according to GOST 14957−76.
3.2. The mechanical properties of the profiles must conform to the standards specified in table.2.

Hollow sections all sections are manufactured with a temporary tear resistance:

3.3. The surface profile should not have cracks, captive, spots of corrosion origin, delaminations and various kinds of zapressovat.
3.4. On the outer surface of the profiles allowed: nicks, scoring, dents, bubbles and shells, if the test mopping them does not display the profile for the negative maximum deviations of the sizes;
risks of small and isolated scratches, if the depth does not exceed half the limit minus tolerances;
surface nabesna a depth of not more than 0.1 mm.
3.5. The surface profiles must be oxidized according to normative-technical documentation.
3.6. To oxidation of the surface allowed local gentle sweep of profile, if it does not display the profile sizes for the negative maximum deviations. Cleaning of the cracks is not allowed.
3.7. The macrostructure of profiles should not have cracks, tears, delamination, phase separation of clusters and utain.
3.8. The macrostructure of profiles allowed:
isolated oxide inclusions in the form of dots with an area of not more than 1 mmor thin lines with a length of not more than 3 mm, if their number is not more than one — on profiles with a flange width of 5 mm or two on the profile flange width of more than 5 mm;
surface exfoliation to a depth of not more than 0.4 mm for profiles cross-sectional dimension 50 mm and not more than 1 mm in the profile cross-sectional dimension of more than 50 to 150 mm;
point intermetallics with a size of 0.4−0.5 mm in an amount of not more than three, as well as the disparate inclusion in the form of single small dots;
surface defects with depth within the limits of deviation;
an inconsistent weld on hollow profiles in the form of strokes, if their total length does not exceed 30% of the fine wall thickness profile in the seam.
Allowed length of the strokes in the weld beyond the limits of this rule, if the mechanical properties of specimens cut a piece of weld in the transverse direction, will be as specified in table.2 or when tested in hand (wedging) of the samples did not happen their destruction or the destruction occurred not in the weld seam.
4. ACCEPTANCE RULES
4.1. Profiles accepted by the parties. The party should consist of profiles of the same brand of alloy, one state, one bottoms, one size and decorated by one document on quality.
The document about quality should contain:
trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;
the name of the consumer;
grade and condition of the material;
batch number;
the designation (number or code);
the weight of the party;
test results (mechanical properties — the maximum and minimum values);
the date of shipment;
the designation of this standard.
4.2. To determine the chemical composition of the alloying elements and main impurities — select two profiles from the party.
Allowed the manufacturer to determine the chemical composition of the magnesium alloys for each cast.
4.3. To control the state of the outer surface is subjected to each profile twice before oxidation and after it.
4.4. Control of the geometric dimensions subjected to each profile.
4.5. To control the mechanical properties of the profiles of selected 10% of the profiles from the party, but at least two profiles.
4.6. To control the macrostructure of continuous profiles of selected 10% of the profiles from the party, but at least two profiles.
4.7. Control of macrostructure of hollow sections subjected to each profile.
4.8. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one indicator thereon, a second test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.
Allowed to carry out a continuous monitoring of profiles.
5. TEST METHODS
5.1. Selection and preparation of samples for the determination of chemical composition is carried out according to GOST 24231−80.
5.2. Determination of chemical composition shall be carried out according to GOST 3240.0−76 — GOST 3240.21−76 or GOST 7728−79.
The differences in the evaluation of the chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 3240.0−76 — GOST 3240.21−76.

5.3. The measurement of profiles is carried out with a micrometer according to GOST 6507−90 or other tool, to ensure the necessary measurement accuracy. Check the length of the profiles is carried out by measuring the GOST 7502−98 or metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.
On the profiles with Bulba, check measurements for Bullbar not carried out.
Deviation from straightforwardness and flatness of profile test according to GOST 26877−91.

5.4. Inspection of surface profiles is carried out without the use of magnifying devices.
5.4.1. The sweep of the profile is carried out only in the longitudinal direction of the abrasive cloth on paper no larger than 6 rooms according to GOST 6456−82 or sanded on the basis of tissue no larger than 6 rooms according to GOST 5009−82.
5.5. The selection and preparation of samples for tensile testing is carried out according to GOST 24047−80.
5.6. Test of profiles on stretching is carried out according to GOST 1497−84.
5.7. To check the mechanical properties of each check the profile of the output end of thick shelf in the longitudinal direction, cut one sample.
The estimated length of the sample when the thickness of the shelves profile 10 mm and less set according to the formula , and when the flange width is more than 10 mm according to the formula .
In case of impossibility of producing a standard sample testing carried out on the samples, the shape and size of which establishes the manufacturer. This is determined only a temporary tear resistance.
Thin-walled profiles of complex configuration, from which it is impossible to cut the specimen for the tensile test, the test for hardness with the same sample size. Profiles with a flange width less than 1.4 mm and having the configuration in which it is impossible to place under pressure the Brinell test for hardness is not subjected.
5.8. Test profiles for hardness is carried out according to GOST 9012−59.
5.9. Macrostructure of the transverse profile control on microtemplate carved with utrennego the end of the check profile.
The weld quality in hollow profiles control on the transverse microtemplate cut from the output end of the check profile.
In the presence of utiny on the scanned profiles (subject to compliance with the macrostructure of the other requirements) it should be completely removed, but all the other profiles of the party is cut on the maximal distribution of utiny or controlled individually.
5.9.1. Validation of the macrostructure of thin-walled sections (flange thickness up to 5 mm) may be performed by the method of fracture.
5.10. The test profile to the distribution is carried out according to GOST 8694−75.
6. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
6.1. At the output end each profile with the width of the flat part 15 of the mm put the stamp of technical control of the manufacturer, as well as the stamp with indication of alloy grades, the condition of the material and batch number.
Profiles with a width of the planar portion of less than 15 mm, and the profiles are not marked the mark in connection with a specific configuration of the cross section, tied into bundles, which attach the label indicating the brand of the alloy, condition of material, batch number and the mark of the technical control Department of the manufacturer.
6.1.1. The profiles from which samples were selected for mechanical testing, further cause the mark with a sequential number.
6.2. Temporary corrosion protection, packaging, transportation and storage — by GOST 9.511−93.
