AMENDED, published in the IUS N 12, 1998
An amendment made by the manufacturer of the database
This standard applies to hot-rolled and forged bars with a diameter or thickness up to 250 mm, as well as rental and calibrated with special surface finish that is designed for the manufacture of springs, springs and other machine parts and mechanisms used in the hardened and tempered condition.
As part of the rules of the chemical composition standard applies to all other types of rentals, bars, forgings and stamping.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 5).
1. CLASSIFICATION AND ASSORTMENT
1.1. Rentals are divided as follows:
processing method:
hot rolled and forged;
calibrated;
with special surface finishing;
hot-rolled round with a honed or polished surface;
the chemical composition of steel:
quality;

Notes: 1. In the designation of steel grades the first two digits indicate the average mass fraction of carbon in hundredths of percent, the letters behind the numbers mean: G — manganese, — silicon, X — chrome, f — vanadium, V tungsten, Nickel. The figures after the letters indicate the approximate mass fraction of the element in integer units. The lack of numbers means that in the brand contains up to 1.5% of this alloying element. When the mass fraction of the element over 1.5% to 2.5% after the letter corresponding to the element, put number 2, over 2.5% figure 3. In the name of grades of steel, with a mass fraction of up to 0.9% of manganese (for upper limit), the letter «G» is not included. 2. In steel of all grades mass fraction of copper residual must not exceed 0.20%, and residual Nickel is 0.25%. 3. In accordance with the order of steel produced scrap-process and scrap-ore process, the residual mass fraction of copper not more than 0.30% Nickel and not more than 0.40% for rental of all categories, chromium not more than 0.30% for rental categories 2, 2A, 2B, 3, 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D made of carbon steel and not more than 0.40% for rental of categories 1, 1A, 1B, 4, 4A and 4B. 4. In steel 60S2G total mass fraction of sulfur and phosphorus shall not exceed 0.06 percent. 5. Steel brand 51HFA intended for the manufacture of spring wire. 6. For the manufacture of patented wire used steel grades 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 with a mass fraction of manganese 0,30−0,60% brands 65G and 70G with a mass fraction of manganese of 0.70 to 1.00%. In steel, designed for patented wire mass fraction of chromium should not exceed 0.15%, Nickel of 0.15%, copper — 0.20%. Mass fraction of sulfur and phosphorus is in accordance with the requirements of the standards to the wire, but not exceeding the limits specified in table.2. In accordance with the order in steel grades 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85, intended for the manufacture of patented wire, the mass fraction of manganese 0,40−0,70%. 7. At the request of the consumer, the lower mass fraction of manganese in steel, not alloy of chromium and Nickel, may be reduced against the norms table.1 the amount of manganese equivalent (), but not more than 0.30%. ,
