This standard applies to electrical unalloyed varietal hot forged and calibrated steel, used in magnetic circuits of electrical apparatus and appliances.
The standard fully complies ST SEV 6156−88.

1. BRAND
1.1. Steel bars are manufactured in the following grades: 10880, 20880, 10895, 20895, 11880, 21880, 11895, 21895, 10850, 11850, 20850, 21850, 10860, 20860, 11860, 21860.

1.2. In naming the brand numbers mean:
first — class according to the type of pressure treatment (1 — hot rolled and forged, 2 — calibrated);
the second type in the silicon content (0 — unalloyed steel, without the normalization factor of aging;
1 — unalloyed steel with specified ageing coefficient);
the third group main standardized characteristic (8 — coercivity);
fourth and fifth — quantitative value of main standardized characteristic (coercive force in integer units of A/m).
2. ASSORTMENT
2.1. Assortment, shape and size of steel should correspond to GOST 2590, GOST 2591, GOST 4405, GOST 1133, GOST 7417 and other normative-technical documentation.
2.2. Depending on the purpose hot rolled and forged steel is divided into subgroups:
a — for hot forming;
b — for machining (turning, planing, etc.) across the surface.

3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Chemical composition of steel must comply with:

Notes:
1. By agreement between manufacturer and consumer can be deviations from the norms of chemical composition, subject to the requirements for magnetic properties.
2. In steel grades 11880, 21880, 11895, 21895, 11860, 21860, 11850 and 21850 allowed increased content of silicon and technological additives of other elements (titanium, aluminum, etc.).
3.2. Steel delivered without heat treatment. At the request of the consumer calibrated steel delivered in the annealed condition.

3.3. The surface quality of steel, intended for hot forming shall correspond to the subgroup and GOST 1050. Allowed without Stripping: the risks, the prints, Rabina and scratches for rolled steel in the range of minus tolerance for forged within ¾ of admission.
The surface quality of steel, intended for cold mechanical processing, should correspond to the subgroup b, GOST 1050, calibrated group In GOST 1051.
3.4. Magnetic properties of the steel, defined on the heat-treated samples must conform to the standards specified in table.1.

3.5. The ageing factor (the percentage increase of the coercive force of the sample after aging) steel grades 11895, 11880, 11860, 11850, 21895, 21880, 21860, 21850 should not be more than 10%.

3.6. On demand of the consumer steel supplied with standard:
a) quality steel macrostructure, with the defects allowed in scores on slamhost 10243 must not exceed:
Central porosity — 2,
point heterogeneity — 2,
exudation square — 3,
subcortical bubbles — 2;
b) mechanical properties shall be as specified in table.2.

4. ACCEPTANCE RULES
4.1. Steel apply to the acceptance by the parties consisting of one steel smelting, one size and one mode of heat treatment (as delivered in heat treated condition).
4.2. The volume of sample for chemical analysis according to GOST 7565.
4.3. To check the quality of steel is taken:
to control the size of 10% of bars or coils from the party;
for quality control of surface — 100% bars or coils from the party;
to determine the magnetic properties of two bars from the party;
to control the macrostructure of two different bars in the investigated template from the melt;
to determine the mechanical properties of the two rod or coil of the party.
4.4. The ageing factor, the manufacturer specifies periodically, but not less than once per quarter.
If unsatisfactory results of the periodic tests tests translate into acceptance until a positive result for three parties in a row.

4.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators, repeat tests performed on the sample selected according to GOST 7566.
5. TEST METHODS
5.1. The sizes of the finished products test and measuring instrument, to ensure the necessary measurement accuracy.
5.2. Sampling for chemical analysis according to GOST 7565.
5.3. Chemical composition of steel is determined according to GOST 22536.0 to GOST 22536.5, GOST 22536.8 or other methods providing the required accuracy of the analysis. Technological additives are introduced by calculation and by chemical analysis not specified.
The differences in the assessment of the quality chemical composition of steel is determined by the methods established in the standard.

5.4. The surface quality check by visual inspection without the use of magnifying devices. The depth of the defects check reference sweep or zapilovku file.
5.5. Samples for the determination of magnetic properties is subjected to heat treatment in the following mode: annealing without access of air to a temperature not higher than 950 °C, cooling time to 600 °C — not more than 10 hours, then in air. Allowed to apply re-annealing.
Allowed by agreement between manufacturer and consumer and other heat treatment.
5.6. The coercive force is determined for the two thermally treated samples with a diameter or a side of a square not exceeding 10 mm and a length of 400 mm ballistic method in an open magnetic circuit according to GOST 12119.0-GOST 12119.8. The coercive force measured in the field of strength 16 KA/m.
Samples cut from different bars or billets so that the axis of the sample coincides with the axis of the rod and the direction of rolling.
For bars larger than 40 mm are allowed:
the production of samples, so that the axis passes at a distance of not more than ½ of the radius or ¼ of the diagonal from the axis of the rod;
grind samples from samples reforged into round or square with a size of 30 to 40 mm.

5.7. Magnetic induction in magnetic fields of 500, 1000 and 2500 A/m is determined in a heat-treated ring samples with outer diameter 30 mm, inner 24 mm and a height of 15 mm, machined from samples taken from the respective transition during forging or rolling, or from samples taken at the 12119.0 GOST-GOST 12119.8 from the profile size of 30−40 mm For bars larger than 40 mm are allowed to carve patterns from samples reforged into round or square with a size of 30−40 mm.
5.8. Allowed to determine the magnetic properties of other methods and on samples of different shapes and sizes, providing the required accuracy of measurement.
5.9. The ageing factor determined on samples taken for the determination of magnetic properties and subjected to aging for 120 h at 120 °C.
5.10. Control of macrostructure is carried out by etching with GOST 10243 on two templeto selected from different bars.
It is possible to use ultrasonic inspection (UT) according to the method of the manufacturer and other non-destructive methods.
5.11. Sampling to determine the mechanical properties of the produced according to GOST 7564 (1st option).
5.12. The tensile test is carried out according to GOST 1497 on two short samples taken from different bars.

6. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
6.1. Packing, marking, transportation and storage — by GOST 7566 with the following addition.
Packaging and labeling graded steel produced according to GOST 1051. The items you enter as a technological additive, listed in the document of quality.
6.2. Transport rental is carried out by all kinds of transport in accordance with the transportation rules on the transportation of the species.
6.3. Rental transporterowych by rail in covered and open vehicles.
6.3.1. When shipping to one consumer consolidation packages in accordance with the requirements of NTD with overall dimensions according to GOST 24597, GOST 21650.
Placement and fixation of rent on the open rolling stock are set by the technical conditions of loading and fastening of goods* approved by the Ministry of Railways of the USSR.

6.4. Weight of cargo space with mechanized loading and unloading in open vehicles shall not exceed 5 tonnes in indoor — 1000 kg.
6.5. Transport marking of packages is performed in accordance with trebovaniyami 14192 indicating the core, additional informational signs that runs on the goods or labels securely attached to the load.
6.6. The rental is stored in closed warehouses or under a canopy to protect from rain.
