The basis is titanium carbide.
In accordance with GOST 26530-85 the composition is given for a hard alloy of grade TN20. The content of titanium carbide in the alloy should be 79.00%. The content of the main components in the mixture of the initial powders is given without taking into account impurities. The contents of the main components are indicated for the preparation of a powder mixture. To produce the alloy, titanium carbide TiC 0.85 -TiC 094 is used . In the alloy, the content of tungsten in the carbide component is allowed up to 4.50%.
