Designation
Description
Alloy SRM 80 applies: for production of sliding contacts, electrical conductors and other products for industrial purposes; items of tableware (spoons, forks, knives, coasters, dishes, blades, shovels, cups, glasses, sugar bowls, tea strainer); ritual and ceremonial items (wedding rings, crosses); jewellery for personal adornment (rings, rings, medallions, pendants, brooches, chains, bracelets, pins, cufflinks); cigarette cases and cigarette holders; commemorative medals and badges.
Note
Alloy silver-copper. With the increase of copper content in the alloy increases its hardness, but alloy becomes yellowish. The oxygen in the alloy increases the hardness and fragility.
Standards
Chemical composition
Ag is the basis.
According to GOST 6836-2002, the copper content is the rest (in the table the calculated content is indicated). The total content of impurities should be ≤ 0.140%.
According to GOST 30649-99 the chemical composition is given for the jewelry alloy YUSRM 80 (YUSPR 800). The sum of the normalized impurities is ≤ 0.150%.
