Description
Hafnium ГФИ2 used: for the manufacture of crystalline rods (Yudenich), used for technical and research purposes (pipes, wire, sheet, foil, special techniques, electronic ceramics, special refractories, thermocouple covers, alloys, etc.); details of the electrical and electronic industry (electronic ceramics, certain types of electrolytic capacitors, filaments of light bulbs, electrodes of rectifiers, cathodes, gas discharge tubes, high-pressure x-ray and television tubes, contacts, resistors, dielectric coatings, etc.); products working in contact with aqueous coolant without the protective shell and other parts of nuclear power and absorbing elements (PEL) energy and transport reactors.
Note
At IUS 10−1998 to GOST 22517−77 hafnium brand ГФИ2 excluded from GOST 22517−77.
Hafnium high purity, free from gas impurities get iodidum way.
Hafnium has ultra-high corrosion resistance (higher than that of zirconium). It has a high resistance to action of aggressive media (hot water, steam, liquid sodium, alkali, dilute hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, any concentration of organic liquids). Hafnium has a high (Zirconia) level of thermal and radiation resistance.

Hf is the basis.
According to GOST 22517-77, the total mass fraction of hafnium and zirconium should be ≥ 99.50%. Mass fraction of molybdenum in hafnium - due to the mass of molybdenum wire, embedded in the technological process of obtaining hafnium.
