According to GOST 28394-89, the chemical composition is given for pig iron grade ЧVG45. The residual content of the sum of rare-earth elements (REM) in cast iron should be in the range of 0.10-0.20%. For the production of wear-resistant and heat-resistant pearlitic HRG, it is permissible to alloy cast iron of the grade ЧVG45 with nickel 0,80-1,20% and molybdenum 0,20-0,40%.
